years ago my husband and i were publicly reproved.

Whilst dictating to others the rights and wrongs within their lives, he used to nip off after Friday meetings and knock back 2-3 cans of 9% beer and then one night vomited into a sisters sink. Leaving a mess everywhere. He was one of the most hypocritical worms I had the pleasure (?) to meet. He also managed to systematically undermine my own confidence in almost every social situation we would attend together. But I had to put on a broad Christian smile and just take it.
If he assosiated with me now, he would find that my mind has hardened up in many areas.
Such is life.

Doesn't sound like scientific documentation to me.
Contemporary science helps to support and further mans material desires and has little to do with esoteric & spiritual studies.
Do not simply reject an entire area of study based around your own perception of how the universe should be determined and measured.
Buy a few books on the subject. Try searching the internet for the findings of John Dee & Edward Kelly as a starting point. You may find a faith you never had before.

Hmm... if you read the right material and personal accounts, it is hard to deny the reality of invisible & intelligent spirit creatures and indeed physical manifestations of the above. I am just about finished with a book called "The Dark Gods / Anthony Roberts" which is superb. It details many accounts which are both curious and worrying, but which ultimately enhance ones own faith in the cloaking influence of malevolant forces.
I also have a number of friends who have had very "real" & sometimes sinister encounters, which are not easy to explain away. Several being witnessed by 2 or 3 individuals at the moment of manifestation.
I have no doubts in my mind, but sometimes choose to doubt in an effort to get a better nights sleep

I wasn't going to post again on this thread, as I didn't want to cause too much unnessecary grief and upset. The old "hermaphrodite" question eh - well obviously that is quirk of nature that cannot easily be explained away by posturing over scripture. I really don't have an answer for you. I was discussing that very issue the other day when talking with a friend about sexual issues. It is the state of being that most magicians through the ages have desired to attain. A complete union of male & female. It is interesting to note that many pagan idols show both sets of sexual organs as well. So... hmmmm... I will look into this issue and if I can draw an answer together, I will reveal my findings through this forum.
I am not a source of absolute truth you know. But, I know what you are getting at - if I can't explain that one away easily, then how can I be so sure in other areas?
Oh one other final point (promise) - I know I said I could be "on that list" for destruction and that does sound horrible and conflicted, but I would never want to assume that "I am standing" - that would make me feel like an inflated ego is running my show. But anyway ...

Razorblade: The Jesus you define doesn't exist. Jesus is the highest ranked spirit creature and will follow through on Gods judgements to the final letter. Do not mistake yourself. He may have been understanding when he walked the earth and showed the religious authorities up for what they were. How do you think he will deal with people who are marked for termination? Believe me, I too could be on that list.

Of course, that is an interesting question. Which I am not qualified to answer in terms of "did I choose" ... I am what I am. Now, whether another person was born homosexual, I am also not qualified to answer that question. I understand that some members of the human race appear to have a genetic predisposition towards male or female tendencies, regardless of the host body.
What I am more interested in, to be frank with you, is what God requires of us and our bodily functions. You know this already, as you were most likely of that mind in the past.
Sexuality has become so intense amongst us, that it is distorting our greater qualities and aspirations within this life. It is even removing us so far from the source of life (IMO of course) that we are even having this debate.
Individualism and aspiring to be God-men (leading ourselves according to our own instinctual or perverse desire) is only creating a tangible chaos that echos across the human psyche, creating more in the way of division amongst us. This is the world we are now defining as a race by not adhering to what I perceive to be God's standards.
You are entitled to your opinion, but as you probably view me as being intolerent, I view your tolerance as being a destructive entity within itself.

I will read your essay, to see where you are coming from.
I know this may sound crass and crude (I don't mean it to - honestly), but by nature, would you not agree that the sex organs that we have, both male and female, are meant to be used towards each other in a natural way (male - female)? By this very simplistic definition of who we are as sentient beings physically, it has lead me to believe that man & woman are the way God chose us to be originally.

He was trying to get some help at a hospital, but it didn't seem to help very much. Anyway, he started using heavy drugs, and no doubt that added to the problem.
Ok - I understand.
I know it is unpopular and I appreciate the struggle people have in this life, but the ideal I have is the Bible's view of sexuality.
I accept that life rarely runs to that ideal at present and that people have to stand by their own convictions.
God is the judge ultimately, not me.
Being pressed towards suicide is a nightmare for anybody to deal with and especially for those who bare feelings of guilt when somebody chooses that particular option.
